All prospective tenants have to complete a tenancy application form to allow us to carry out informative checks before they are accepted.
All references are followed up on and credit checks can be carried out at landlord’s discretion.
Ascent Property Management has access to all tenancy information in New Zealand (T.I.N.Z.), enabling them to carry out New Zealand wide, thorough searches on all tenants.
The T.I.N.Z. (Tenancy information NZ) database is able to search through 4 databases as well as its own – Ministry of Justice Tenancy Tribunal orders, The CIA Debt Recovery Group Ltd, Veda Advantage and LTNZ Drivers License national database.
The database used allows members to be able to add their own tenant ratings, put in tribunal orders and 10 day notices online. Tenancy agreements can be scanned onto it too.
A recent, useful, feature added to the service is photo-proofing – landlords and property management teams can load and retrieve pictures of tenants, preventing identity fraud.
